Red Tailed Black Cockatoo Greeting Card

Our Red Tailed Black Cockatoo greeting card, and the water scene behind it are inspired by our home town of Googong in NSW.

Googong Dam, is located just outside of the ACT and is Canberra's source of drinking water. The Black Cockatoos stop in a couple of times a year as they come through and like to stay while they eat the pine cones from our trees.

Alison asked some of the local residents what they would like to see on some Greeting cards, and amoungst the many suggestions, she was asked to include "Googong Dam", and the "Red Tailed Black Cockatoos", so Alison decided to put these two suggestions together in an Australian themed Greeting card.

Alison loves painting and creating these artworks for her Greeting cards and limited edition prints.

Working from her Art studio on their farm in Googong just outside Canberra, Alison is inspired by nature, and all the creatures around her.

This Red Tailed Black Cockatoo Greeting card was painted in watercolour and ink, & is one of Alison's many original designs.
